IDC’s Data Organization team is seeking a Business Development Specialist to support the growth of its global portfolio of data products. The ideal candidate will have strong communication, customer service, collaboration, and analytical skills, enabling them to work effectively with a global team of sales professionals and analysts.

This position will work a hybrid work model, based in our Singapore office.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of IDC’s data product offerings, their value propositions, and how they align with client needs, guiding sales and prospects to the right solutions.
  • Educate clients and sales on new and enhanced products that align with their evolving needs.
  • Support client retention by assisting IDC Sales team with client renewals, product packaging, and pricing requests to drive business growth.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure clients are properly set up and receiving their subscriptions seamlessly.
  • Take on additional projects as needed to support business initiatives and team objectives.

Qualifications

  • Detail-oriented and analytical, with the ability to navigate complex pricing models, forecasting spreadsheets, and client requests.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills,with the ability to collaborate across multiple teams.
  • Proficient in software programs such as Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and Salesforce.com.
  • Comfortable presenting and leading client meetings with confidence.
  • Proven ability to work independently in supporting the sale of complex data products and services to technology vendors.
  • Prior experience in market research, technical sales, or a related field is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.
