Overview

In this position, we are looking for an analyst to lead IT security product market researches and have a responsible for CIS program, "Japan IT Security Strategies". The analyst will conduct ongoing research and analysis of trends in the overall IT security products market in Japan, and provide customers with the deep knowledge and insights gained. In addition, the analyst will work with global and Asia-Pacific analysts in the IT security market to contribute IDC's thought leadership in this market from a Japanese perspective.

Responsibilities

  • Planning and execution of research on IT security products and writing of research reports. A
  • The research covers the overall Japanese IT security products market, including Endpoint security, Network security, Identity and access management, Security analytics, Information/data security and CNAPP, etc..
  • The research will include market forecasts, vendor share analysis, and user company demand surveys, as well as interviews with IT suppliers and user companies, quantitative research such as web surveys, and research of secondary data.
  • Business development of security related subscription and custom services

Other responsibilities:

- Presentation at the external events regarding security market, presentation at IDC's events, engagement in consulting projects

- Collaboration with overseas analysts for research and business development

- Relationship establishment with security solution vendors

Qualifications

  1. Those who have working experience in security marketing and/or business planning at security solution vendors, system integrators or security service providers, and knowledge of IT security technologies, solutions and markets. Alternatively, candidates with experience in developing or selling security solutions, or in marketing and business planning for IT solutions, and who possess knowledge of security technologies and products, are also eligible.

  2. English proficiency: Basic conversation, e-mail communication (read and write)
  3. Japanese: native level (reading, writing, and speaking)
  4. PC skill: Excel (pivot table creation/utilization skill), Word, PowerPoint
  5. College graduate or above
