About the Role & Team
Reporting to China Growth team leader, the Senior Account Manager will be responsible for managing and selling to a portfolio of Infrastructure/Softare/Services related IT, ODM/OEM, Client Devices vendors. The role requires a proven acumen for selling a wide portfolio of technology research, business consulting, marketing services and event sponsorships, to senior level functions within these accounts.
What You’ll Do
- Sales bookings achievement in line with monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Business development and solution-based selling within the defined territory across IDC's products and services.
- Account Management of existing and new clients within the territory.
- Accurate sales CRM database updating in Salesforce.com.
- Plan and execution of a sales strategy to develop relationships and build account plans to identify and drive new business opportunities.
- Achieve goals with positive collaboration with all IDC business units comprising Research, Data, Consulting, Content Marketing Services and Event Sponsorship.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. MBA is a plus.
- At least 8-10 years of external experience with proven consultative sales, along with strong written, analytical, verbal communication, time management and organizational skills.
- Demonstrate success working independently to sell complex products and services to technology vendors, preferably experience in Infrastructure/Software/Services related IT, ODM/OEM, Client Devices vendors.
- The ability to build relationships at C-level and senior level within a company and the ability to set a sales strategy to develop new business as well as incremental sales with existing clients.
- Prior market research industry, or technical, sales experience is a plus.
- Be able to communicate in English to manage multi-national communication internally and externally.
- Ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial, motivated, assertive, collaborative, and a self-starter.
