About the Role & Team

IDC’s Japan Sales Team is seeking a dynamic Account Manager responsible for selling IDC’s full portfolio—including research, data, events, and custom consulting solutions reporting into AVP of Sales.

This is a Country sales role, with main focus in maintaining relationship with existing key accounts for upselling and cross selling opportunities. Equal importance in focusing on developing business within new territories with the country territory and account portfolio. The role will be based in Tokyo, Japan.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Achieve a booking target
  • Develop existing key accounts for upselling and cross selling opportunities.
  • Develop business within new territories with the country territory and account portfolio.
  • Proactively present and sell IDC products capabilities to existing customers and prospects.
  • Work with Custom and Events Specialists in identifying and nurturing opportunities through the various Sales stages

What You Bring

  • 2-3 years of quota-carrying sales experience, along with strong written, analytical, and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding of sales fundamentals such as prospecting, needs assessment, proposal development and client presentations
  • English Communication Skills: TOEIC Score 700+ preferred.
  • Highly creative and capable to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
  • Good experience in working with senior level decision makers.
  • Preferably from a strong ICT background.
  • Educational Requirements: Bachelor's degree preferred. o Hands-on experience utilizing AI tools such as ChatGPT for research support, data analysis, idea generation, and productivity enhancement.
