About the Role & Team
The Events Specialist, Data Governance will be responsible for managing and analyzing event-related data, maintaining high-quality databases, and supporting strategic event planning through research and insights. This role plays a critical part in understanding attendee behavior, identifying key IT decision-makers across the META region, and supporting the development of high-impact, insight-led events through data-driven recommendations, including speaker identification.
What You’ll Do
- Own and maintain accurate databases of event attendees, registrants, sponsors, speakers, and partners
- Build and manage structured event databases, trackers, and CRM records
- Ensure data accuracy through regular cleansing, validation, de-duplication, and enrichment
- Maintain alignment between event platforms, CRM systems, and internal databases
- Analyze registration, attendance, and engagement data to deliver post-event insights and performance breakdowns
- Develop reports and dashboards to support event evaluation and planning
- Identify trends and opportunities in attendee data to inform future event strategy
- Conduct ongoing research on IT decision-makers across the META region to support audience targeting and segmentation
- Research, recommend, and maintain a pipeline of relevant speakers based on data insights and market relevance
- Support event, sales, and marketing teams with data-driven insights and ad-hoc analysis
- Ensure compliance with data governance, privacy, and internal policies
What You Bring
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, dashboards)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
- Hands-on experience with CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce or similar)
- Ability to manage large datasets and translate data into actionable insights
- Knowledge of data visualization tools
- Understanding of B2B technology events and audiences
- Familiarity with GDPR and data privacy principles
- Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and research-driven
- Proactive and able to work independently
- Strong communicator, comfortable presenting insights
