About the Role & Team
IDC is seeking a high-performing Research Analyst to lead and develop our global research program on Asia/Pacific Services which is at strategic crossroads today with the intersection of services industrialization, artificial intelligence (AI), platform delivery, and outcome-based commercial models. The successful candidate will own a cross-cutting research program that spans business services, information technology services, and engineering services. The role combines thought leadership, structured taxonomy development, market modeling, vendor analysis, and client engagement. As enterprises embed automation, generative artificial intelligence, and agentic execution into service workflows, the lines between consulting, managed services, and platform-enabled delivery are shifting. IDC is defining this space globally and this analyst will play a central role in shaping that narrative, building the market framework, and influencing how the industry is evolving in the region and countries.
This role offers:
+Ownership of a globally visible research program
+Direct exposure to senior service provider executives and enterprise buyers
+The opportunity to shape taxonomy, market definitions, and forecast models
+A platform for publishing high-impact research and speaking at industry events
+A fast-evolving subject matter area with strong strategic relevance.
The position is ideal for someone who combines analytical rigor with strong writing capability, commercial awareness, and intellectual curiosity about how services delivery models are changing
