About the Role & Team 

 
IDC, a global leader in technology market intelligence, is seeking detail-oriented Document Production & Presentation Specialist to bring IDC's market research to life in polished, client-ready formats This role is critical to maintaining IDC’s high standards of clarity, accuracy, and consistency in its research deliverables. The Document Production and Presentation Specialist will be responsible for producing research deliverables based on existing market research content components authored by analysts across a wide range of technology domains. The ideal candidate will possess strong presentation and report production skills, familiarity with business and technology terminology, and the ability to collaborate with analysts and stakeholders across time zones. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that values precision, professional communication, and operational excellence.  

 
What You’ll Do 

  • Identify relevant source data and content components based on research architecture and schedule.   

  • Build polished, publication-ready research reports and presentations in PowerPoint and Word, assembling content components including charts, data tables, and qualitative analysis into professionally formatted deliverables. 

  • Apply and maintain IDC's corporate formatting standards across all deliverables — including typography, layout, color schemes, and data visualization — ensuring consistency across the full report portfolio. 

  • Transform raw data outputs and analyst-authored content into visually clear, well-structured documents suitable for executive and client audiences. 

  • Perform data accuracy checks across all assigned deliverablesEnsure content formatting alignment with corporate brand and research architecture standards.  

  • Follow established content structure and research formatting standards. 

  • Prioritize work based on project timelines, research schedule, and operational business needs.  

What You Bring 

  • Experience: Minimum 2+ years of professional experience in content production or publishing, report development, data visualization and related functions, preferably in a business, technology, consulting, technology journalism or market research environment. 

  • Language Skills: Exceptional command of written English, with a meticulous eye for detail. 

  • Technical Familiarity: Experience with development of data-heavy content. Understanding of IT industry terms and concepts (e.g., cloud computing, AI, cybersecurity, software markets) is a strong advantage. 

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word is essential — you will use these daily to build complex, formatted documents. Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, charts, data formatting) are a strong advantage. Familiarity with data visualization best practices and report layout principles is highly valued. 

  • Work Style: Ability to work under tight deadlines. Attitude and aptitude to accept feedback from multiple sources. 

  • Collaboration: Comfortable working with global teams and across different time zones; strong interpersonal and communication skills. 

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in English, communications, journalism, business, or a related field.
