The analyst will be responsible for developing market-leading research content, conducting first-hand market and vendor research, building market sizing and forecasting models, and delivering consulting projects. This role requires strong analytical thinking, solid technology understanding, effective vendor communication skills, and the ability to translate technology and market development into actionable insights for clients.

What You’ll Do

  • Focus on China’s government and enterprise digitalization market, with key coverage of smart cities, IoT, digital government, intelligent transportation, urban operations, smart parks, and state-owned enterprise digitalization. Continuously track policy changes, technology evolution, market demand, vendor strategies, and ecosystem development.
  •  Conduct first-hand research and in-depth interviews with equipment vendors, cloud providers, software vendors, telecom operators, solution providers, and end users to identify market opportunities, competitive dynamics, customer needs, and technology adoption progress.
  •  Design research methodologies based on research objectives and client requirements. Build analytical models for market sizing, market forecasting, vendor competitiveness, solution capabilities, and industry application maturity, and conduct both quantitative and qualitative research.
  • Independently write market research reports, market forecast reports, competitive analysis reports, vendor assessment reports, and industry insight articles.
  •  Provide clients with recommendations on market entry, product planning, ecosystem partnerships, competitive strategy, and business growth. Continuously maintain vendor and industry resources in the areas of government and enterprise digitalization, smart cities, and IoT. Build stable external communication channels to improve the forward-looking perspective, accuracy, and influence of the research.
  •  Collaborate with global research teams to support China market database maintenance, global research project localization, research on Chinese vendors’ international expansion, and localized analysis of global government and enterprise, IoT, and smart city research.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in communications, computer science, software engineering, automation, electronic information, or related fields. A master’s degree or overseas study/work experience is preferred. The candidate should have a solid technical foundation and be able to understand the basic logic of technologies and solutions such as cloud computing, IoT, AI, big data, edge computing, video sensing, data platforms, and industry application software.
  • More than 3 years of experience in ICT, government and enterprise digitalization, smart cities, IoT, cloud computing, software, system integration, consulting and research, solution pre-sales, or industry marketing. Familiarity with one or more areas such as smart cities, digital government, intelligent transportation, IoT platforms, government cloud, big data platforms, AI applications, digital twins, urban operations centers, and smart parks is preferred.
  • Strong logical thinking and independent research capabilities, with the ability to extract insights from interviews, public information, data, and client requirements, and to develop clear, well-structured, evidence-based analysis.
  • Strong vendor communication and business communication skills, with the ability to proactively build industry connections, conduct high-quality interviews, and understand different vendors’ product capabilities, market strategies, and competitive positioning.
  • Curiosity about new technologies, new products, and new markets, with flexible research thinking, fast learning capability, and the ability to translate technology changes into market judgments and business insights.
